What is the Public Trustee?

The Public Trustee is a person appointed by the government to offer professional trustee and asset management services to Western Australians. The current Public Trustee is Mr Brian Roche who has served in this role for over 10 years. If you make an application to the State Administrative Tribunal then the Public Trustee is notified in case they may need to be appointed as administrator. The Public Trustee also reviews the annual accounts of administrators appointed in WA. If a person does not have a family member who is suitable to be administrator, then the State Administrative Tribunal can appoint the Public Trustee to be administrator.
